<p>I got in TMC as an economics major but I'm not sure that will be enough for a variety of reasons. I was thinking of adding polysci as another major (I couldn't think of another major that interested me since I suck at science in general) but I'm rather worried that it would be a waste of time to get a degree in polysci. Now I'm thinking about switching from econ to the joint math econ major they offer. I'm not that great at math but I can't think of anything else to do.</p>
<p>i think you should calm down and take some lower-division classes in both areas and whatever else interests you before settling on a major. remember, people come in as "undeclared" and still manage to graduate in 4 years. a major's more important for registering for major-specific UD electives ... which you're still far away from.</p>
<p>When I changed my major from Communication to Political Science, it literally involved filling out a one-page form (available on the ucsd website) and dropping it off at an office. In most cases, you can EASILY change your mind - so take a wide variety of classes that fulfill GE requirements and go from there. </p>

<p>I think one thing that's been neglected is that hotel is a junior level admit. He doesn't have much time to mess around.</p>
<p>You might consider philosophy. People say it's a good general degree that gives you insight on how to think. It might also fulfill whatever needs your considering in switching to a math/econ program, as mathematics and philosophy are related subjects.</p>
<p>I can't give too much advise on your choice of majors, but if you didn't already realize double major transfer students get 3 years instead of 2 to complete their studies.</p>
<p>No, you get 3 years, 9 quarters, but you need to declare the double pretty soon, because you can only declare the double when you have 90-135 units (quarter units). Once you declare the double you can change it even after you have more than 135 units so just make sure you declare some second major before you get 135 units. I am pretty sure about the last sentence (about changing the second major even if you have more than 135) as a ucsd adviser told me this, but as we all know advisers can be wrong so i suggest you double check it</p>
<p>I'm not sure if mathtastic_nerd answered with regards to a single major or not, but I can't find anything to back up my notion that single majors only get two years.</p>
