Ive read the forums in and out for this question and wanted to hear some new input and not threads from years ago. What would be a good combo with MIS I am having trouble trying to decide between accounting or math (applied, operation research, or stats).

You may wanna repost this with a different heading, that way more people will look it and will be able to give you better answers than this.
Since I can remember, I would told that CIS/MIS and Accounting go well together if you’re interested in internal audit. I would say Math would be a great double major regardless of what the other major is as it definitely looks attractive to employers. I would obviously stay away from the Math if you had any kind of trouble with Calc in high school. Again, other people with more detailed answers will most likely answer with a more ‘attractive’ title.

I don’t have an answer for you, and I’m actually considering a double major myself…I’ve been thinking about double majoring in Pure Mathematics and Astrophysics, but don’t know how common that is…

thanks for reply and what do you think would be a more appropriate title? I enjoy math more then i do accounting. Im currently in fundamental accounting and i can barely stay awake in class because it seems so dull and boring. Im taking applied calc as well and its seems to hold my interest more.

If you can’t stay away in your principles of accounting class, then you’re not going to excel in the major. That answers your question easily. Choose mathematics. It’s equally a good choice.
