Double Major/Two Degrees?

Say I am a student getting my undergraduate degree at UM with a double major in Biology and Art History. The Bio degree would usually get me a B.S. and Art History would get me a B.A.

When I graduate would I then have a B.S. AND a B.A.? Or do they just lump all your majors into one category. If you double major in different departments within the same college (LSA in this case) that give two different degrees, do you have two separate undergraduate degrees or what? Sorry if this is confusing, I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Pretty sure you would just get a single BS in Biology and Art History. I believe how it works in LSA is that the default degree is a BA, and it becomes a BS if you have 60 credits worth of science/math classes.

Vladenschlutte is correct. You would only get one degree, and it would be a BS because of the 60 credits policy (s)he mentioned.

I’m not 100% certain on this, but I believe you only receive two degrees if you are dual-enrolled.

That makes sense. Thanks!
