Double major - who signs?

When declaring a double major, it says, "Both major advisors must approve." When they say "major advisors", are they referring to the major counselors or the faculty of the major like how when I declared my single major I had to make an appointment with the faculty member who corresponded with my last name group?

I'm anxious to find out because I can't see the counselor anytime soon to ask. If it means the major faculty then that will delay me because I'd have to make appointments instead of being able to get signed off during drop in advising hours.

It means both major’s staff advisors (so the “counselors”). Whether the majors themselves, individually, require faculty advisor approval or consultation before the staff advisor will sign is another matter.
