Realistically, should I double major with ChemE?
If so, what majors are the best choices and will not extend my school time to 5-6 years?

My DS is minoring, but not double-majoring. That said, he also did all the pre-med prereqs

The case jym presents shows a situation where additional classes would be helpful. If you have a reason like that, then do it. If not, work like crazy to be the best ChemE you can be.

If you’re not even sure what you want your second major to be then you shouldn’t even attempt it.

Double major if and only if you actually have interest in another subject. Say you enjoy art history then double in cheme and art history. Same with math. Double majoring for the sake of double majoring is pretty much pointless.
