How hard and time consuming is it to double major.

It’s not hard as you think since many of the classes overlap. There aren’t that many benefits to double majoring…

Lialee: it entirely depends on the school. Classes may or may not overlap, and contrary to what Averby said, double-majoring can be extremely useful and rewarding. You’d do better asking this question in a specific college forum.

Some schools are very encouraging of it, while others make it a bit more difficult. It’s almost always possible to major-minor, though. Dittoing bruno; a double major or major-minor combination can be really useful if the two fields a) overlap “well” or b) introduce new skills that would give you an edge to employers (ie math major with foreign language minor).

Any thought as to the school/combination?

How is Economics and Political science double major?

“Overlap” meaning you double major in history & education, as you would like to become a history teacher, as an example.

It depends on the majors - it wouldn’t likely work, for example, with Engineering, Architecture, or Music Performance. But Econ and Political Science should be no problem.

Thanks! :)
