The A & S advisor said that even if you switch to Peabody as your primary college, you will have to complete the AXEL requirements if you want to have your second major from the college of A & S. Does anyone know where that information is spelled out? I heard differently from someone else - that you only had to fill the requirements of your primary college.

My D will start at Blair in the fall and is doubling with Math out of A&S. Her advisor told her that she will only have to fulfill Blair requirements and Math core requirements to complete both degrees. She will not have to complete AXEL requirements. I would assume it would be the same between all the schools.

I don’t know off the top of my head but you can definitely check it on the Course Catalog. [Vanderbilt University Undergraduate Catalog](http://www.vanderbilt.edu/catalogs/undergrad/) - just look under the Peabody section for double majors. I THINK that Peabody majors that double in A&S do not have to fulfill AXLE, just their own liberal arts requirement.

I don’t think that’s true… I know it’s definitely not true for Engineering and A&S… I would ask the registrar of A&S or Peabody to make sure, post back when you know!
