I think that is a good idea. The more education you have the better.
I would wait and figure out what is do-able when you meet with your transfer advisor at your 4 year college.
Business and Econ major/minor, or Econ BS. Econ is more useful as it relates to Business, and Math is redundant to a BS in Econ.
Math is redundant with Econ? Doubling Econ or Business with Math is stupendous.
It may require an extra semester or two.
Math is definitely not redundant to Econ. What career paths are you interested in pursuing with your business degree? Math may or may not be applicable to the line of work you’re looking into.
Economics and Business majors fall under different schools. For example, Economics is a soft science (social science) therefore it might not be under the school of business in the school you are transferring to. I would suggest you try a semester then decide to double major. If Economics and Business fall under the same school then I would suggest to stay in the same school so you can graduate with no extra semesters (classes overlap). Now for Math and Economics, they maybe in different schools so it might be harder to graduate in 2 years. Just stick to Economics and don’t worry about a double major, it won’t do much. Get the best grades and try to land a good internship to get your foot in the door. You will notice that a double major is not worth it. Best of luck!
