double major?

hey guys, im an incoming freshman and im a psych major (CHASS). my goal is to eventually go to medical school but im not sure how i would “match up” w other applicants who are bio majors. i was considering double majoring in neuroscience (CNAS). regardless of wether or not it would give me an advantage when applying to med schools, im interested in it.
but i wasn’t sure if this would be beneficial in the long run, or if it is even possible to finish in 4 years. (i could also just do a minor or a BA.)
does anyone have any tips or advice?? thank you!

Medical schools do not care about your major. As long as you take the medical school course requirements to apply, you can major in any subject. Not sure what you mean about how you would “match up” to other Bio major applicants. You do realize that you will taking many of the same classes the Biology majors take for your Medical school requirements such as Biology/Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry etc…

My advice is stick with your major Psychology, try to fit in all your Medical required courses and not worry about a double Major. You will be working hard just to achieve a High GPA in all the classes to make you a competitive applicant for Medical school.

oh okay, i understand now! i assumed bio majors would have an advantage over me, but i guess not. thank you for your help
