Here's my dilemma. I'm thinking of double majoring: in International Relations & Journalism. I would love to enjoy both of these programs and also maintain an active social life. I love to party frequently, yet I do not want to fall behind in my studies. If I work very hard and play just as hard, is this possible to do both well?

Certainly it's possible. You just have to be better than most at managing your time. You can always drop one of your majors or switch to a minor somewhere along the line if it's too much.

whats the real difference between a major and a minor? can you still hold a job with only a minor in the subject? also; does it cost more to double major? if so; how much more?

I honestly think that major and minor does not matter very much as long as it is not too much specialized. Companies usually train their employees again when they are hired.
