Double Major

I'm a double major, not because I think it will look good on a law school application, but because I love both subject areas. I want to go into international law and I think my two majors - French and International Studies (international relations + world history) - go well together and with the field. I'm actually set to graduate early, so I'm taking a lot of electives so the two majors aren't taking away from my "well-rounded" education.

Do you think it would look good on a law school application? Does having knowledge in a foreign language give me a boost at all?

It doesn’t hurt, but it won’t help much. Lots of people who apply to law school have double majors. Lots have studied or worked abroad, have relatives who taught them another language, or took language classes in school. So they’re certainly not bad things, but they won’t really set you apart. Your LSAT and GPA are what matter most.
