thx~

i know that NYU does have one of the best applied math departments.

I don’t know about the mathematics departments, but I know that it is possible to major in both math and finance.

i know a friend, actually i know several people who are studying both finance at stern and math at courant. it’s doable.

there’s also a minor called advanced mathematical finance … (or something along those lines) and I think that’s an interesting combination of the two fields.

basically, after you complete all your core(s) requirements you will have 38 credits left and you can do whatever you want with them. of course, the first calc class (I, II or III) will be part of your general education requirements. So you can move forward in math and use the 38 elective classes to do that.

Thank you for ur info.
