Double majoring and Ohio State

I am preparing to declare my specialization in the business school at Ohio State (Fisher). I have two questions:

  1. I am for sure going to major in finance but I was wondering what other major, if I should even add one, would be good to complement finance. I am considering accounting or economics but also thinking to just focus on finance. I would also be able to still graduate in 4 years.
  1. I am a freshman about to be a sophomore and was just wondering how Ohio State looks to iBanks and the finance field in general also. There is a fisher futures program in iBank that I can apply for junior year. Although OSU is not a target school, is there still a good outlook for iBanking?

I finished with a 4.0 first semester and hope to do the same this semester. I hope this helps.

Thanks!

If feasible, I think adding economics as a second major is an excellent idea. Almost everybody knows less than they should about economics. I almost always recommend students include economics among their electives.

Accounting is a profession more than a field of study, and you will get sufficient exposure in meeting the requirements at Fisher. Additional depth will be of minimal value.

Do you think chances of getting into a MM or BB are far greater in Chicago? Or is it just as tough as NYC?
