Double majoring business + engineering

Hello,

Currently, I'm a freshman in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UTexas, and the way the degree plans are setup, I would be able to double major in some business degree from McCombs and still graduate in 4 years (4.5 is very doable).

The main reason I'm thinking of doubling up is that I'm interested in the field and have had exposure to come to this conclusion. My dad owns a business, and over the years I've had plenty of experience in his company and honestly enjoyed it.

I've heard countless people tell me to just finish up engineering and then pursue an MBA, yet is it really that pointless to get some sort of business degree now and still get an MBA later?

I would do a business minor if possible, but unfortunately my college does not offer minors in business, but instead it offers a certificate program which I hear is more or less just fluff.

So I ask you, would it be worth my time to double up? It won't increase my tuition rates at all. Some of the arguments I have against it are I most likely won't be able to do a study abroad, I possibly would be in school for 1 semester longer, and the majors are not really similar and wouldn't complement each other in a first job search.
