I'm an aerospace engineering major and I'm looking into double majoring in political science. They told me I need 24 credits in polisci to get the double major (because I was concerned about whether I needed to do all the LSA requirements, such as foreign language, writing courses, race and ethnicity, etc.). However, I want to know whether I would be graduating with two degrees (specifically, a BSE in Aerospace Engineering and a BA in Political Science) since they're in different colleges (Engineering and LSA).

Thanks!

Yes, you will get two degrees.

I'm actually double majoring in engineering. I need 32 additional credits for a dual degree (8 classes like you). It'll take me 5 years though...

Hey. Who did you talk to to see how many additional credits you'd need for a double major? Thanks in advance.

I talked to a political science advisor. The number of credits depends entirely on what you're double-majoring. For example, getting just a minor in a foreign language is like 24 credits. I had already came in with 8 credits (APs), so the 24 number may be a bit deceptive.

Thanks. I might be attending Umich nxt year and and I'm considering double majoring in comp engineering and something else.

If it's another engineering major, you can see their requirements with the Engineering Bulletin (it has sample BSE schedules): http://www.engin.umich.edu/students/bulletin.html
