I'm a junior in high school and I'm interested in double majoring in political science and molecular biology in college. I know these two fields are vastly distinct from one another but they are really the two fields that I'm interested in and am not willing to give up one for the other. Can you provide me some suggestions as to which colleges have these two subjects as their most popular majors, or are best known for having good professors/programs in these fields?

It would be a great help. Furthermore, if you happen to be a bio or a political science major, please state your school and tell me how your school has helped you pursue that field and how you like your major....or tell me about your professors, interesting classes, or topics that you've learned!

@MYOS1634 I apologize for the terribly late response, but I am beginning the college process and applying for college admission this coming fall. My highest SAT is 700 CR/ 730 M/ 760 W (2190 combined) for the May SAT, single sitting. I want to raise my CR score and get it to 2200+ by taking the upcoming Oct. SAT. My school, Bronx Science, uses GPA on the 100 scale (94.87—> 3.9, I think?). It is unweighted.

As aforementioned, I go to Bronx Science, so I attend school in NYC.

As for financial aid, I need any I can get. My parents’ income falls <30,000/ year so need-based aid or any type of merit scholarship would be great.

You’re a low income applicant. Are you also from an underrepresented community? Have you looked at programs like QuestBridge who want to help such students attend college?

I’m Chinese American so not underrepresented haha. More like overrpresented. My guidance counselor mentioned Questbridge a few months ago and I’ve been researching it ever since. It seems like very little people are actually matched and get the full ride to Questbridge’s partner colleges. Thus, right now I’m really in a quandary and am not really sure whether applying ED to schools through Questbridge will bolster my admissions chances. What’s your opinion on this?
