What do you guys think about double majoring in MIS and finance?

I think this would be a good mix because people in finance are starting to work with things like OLAP and other stuff you learn about in the IS program.

From what I'm seeing though, I think accounting would probably be your optimal choice as a second major.

I would rather double major in Accounting and MIS. In my college there is a special concentration called AIS or accounting information systems. Finance is good but accounting goes better with MIS and in general it is easier to get a job in accounting than finance.

Im looking to have about a 3.75-3.8 by the time I graduate from a state school. I am not exactly sure what I want to do when I get out of college but I am enjoying finance and have a pretty decent background with computers(working for dell currently). However, I would like to work for a large company in say miami or new york.

With that background you will be good with MIS and finance.
