Double majoring in music and engineering

Hi, I'm a new freshman this year, and I was admitted as a Computer Science major in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering. I am totally set on majoring in Computer Science since I've been really into computers ever since I was kid (not to mention I took computer science classes in high school), but I also really love music.

On any given day, you can find me spending 5-10 hours just playing instruments or studying music theory on my own. Thus, since majoring in Computer Science seems difficult enough, I figured I could simply minor in music. Well, at orientation I found out that there is no music minor--only a major. I figured there was nothing I could, so I thought I'd just continue studying music on my own as a hobby.

With fall quarter fast approaching my second set of midterms, I realized I've spent more time than I should...studying music and sneaking into music lectures at Schoenberg. A good amount of people in my building have even simply assumed I'm a music major.

I guess I'll just get to my point: is it all possible for me to double major in both music and computer science at UCLA? I've looked into it already, and I can't seem to find a solid answer. Even if it were possible, I understand the amount of work and time I'd have to put into it. But considering the amount of work and time I'm already putting into music in addition to my CS studies, I'd say I'm up to it. The confusing thing is that I'm in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering--not the music school. I looked at the FAQ about admissions at UCLA, and it said (assuming I understood it correctly) that students can only major in music if it's their first choice major, or if they apply for a change of major.

Is it possible for me to be in both the music school and the Henry Samuel School of Engineering? I know I should ask a counselor, but I thought I'd give a shot at these forums (maybe someone else has experienced my problem, too!?) before I went to official UCLA administrators.

Thanks.
