Double majoring in two unrelated fields is harder than it seems?

I am really torn between my passions for humanities and my love for the natural sciences. Originally, I had planned to major in both, and b/c of all my AP/IB credits, double-majoring CAN be done at my top public unversity (UVA). BUT at Yale, since they dont have minors and with all the requirements, double-majoring in two unrelated fields seems hella-hard! I really wouldnt mind staying there for another year to finish up requirements for a B.A. in MCDB (molecular, cellular and developmental biology) BUT i still want to graduate with my class of 2013. Can all this be done?

P.S. I know I haven't gotten into Yale yet (heck, i havent even submitted my app yet) but this could be a problem at any college i end up at....hopefully that is Yale haha!

P.S.S. My career choice as of right now is pediatrics and i plan on applying to med school AFTER 4 yrs of college.

I have the same question. I plan (if accepted) to do MB&B (molecular biophysics/biochemistry) and Ethics, Politics, and Economics (or Theater Studies) as a double major. I've already e-mailed my admissions officer with this question last Sunday, but have not received a response back yet. If anyone knows the answer to our question about double majoring in two completely different subjects that would be awesome!

D (2009) is double majoring in biology and anthropology.

If accepted, you may not extend beyond 8 semesters at Y to fulfill the last reqs of a dbl major (heck, I'd done it if I could have!)

Can summer courses be used toward the major?

Yes they do count towards the major but i think there's a limit on how many courses u can take each summer.
