Double majoring... or having a non-art minor?

So I posted a thread a while ago about wanting to go into the advertising/commercial design route, which most efficiently would require me to go to an art school or a uni with an art program (both requiring a portfolio and probably foundation course anyway).

What I also want to do is go into advertising/marketing... the BUSINESS side as well. I want to be all well-rounded in advertising in both aspects. I also loved FBLA in HS and sat in my friend's marketing class and I found it interesting.

Basically, would I have to go to a state uni to be able to do this? From the research I've done, art schools are strictly art-related, but I may have not done enough research so someone can correct me.

Thanks for any help/advice. :)

Hi lullabies, The Ringling College of Art + Design offers both a major and a minor in the Business of Art & Design. You can get the specifics on the website at [Ringling College of Art and Design: Home](http://www.ringling.edu)
good luck!

Thanks! Just wondering, but since I’ve been eyeing VCUarts, do you think I could double major/have a business minor at that school? Just keeping my options opened, wouldn’t want to have just one school.

MCAD in Minneapolis offers a BS degree in business of art, advertisinig, marketing, etc.
