Double majoring with Econ?

I'm thinking of double majoring with Econ. Perhaps Media Studies because it sounds interesting. I'm also minoring in Korean Language.

Is double majoring with Econ and Korean Language minor feasible/beneficial? Econ has 8 major requirements while Korean Language has five. That's basically 32 + 20 = 52 units. I will be able to finish two of the major requirements for Econ this upcoming year (I'm a rising second-year). Media Studies has 9 major requirements.

I'm planning on talking to an L&S adviser, but I would appreciate your input.

Thanks.

My honest input is that double majors are beneficial to those who like the two fields they’re majoring in – it gives satisfaction. Whether what you’re planning to do has any common career application is another story. I have heard of many economics and math majors, though, and this could lead you to interesting career opportunities. But of course, math is one of the last majors I’d expect someone who doesn’t quite know if (s)he likes it would be successful at.
