Does anyone know if they allow students to double major outside of schools at U of I?
I was accepted into the business school, but would also like to major in actuarial science (LAS). Is this possible?

Technically that would be a double degree choice since it is different colleges rather than a double major which would be within the same college. What you suggest is possible. You would need to include in your first two years courses needed by freshman and sophomores in actuarial science so you could apply for the the actuarial degree program beginning third year and you would need to meet the degree requirments of both majors and colleges. Possible and practicable are two different things. Trying to take and schedule the courses needed for the degrees in both schools and even complete the two in five years can be a daunting task.

How manageable would it be if I were coming in with 30+ AP credits? I’d hate to sound arrogant, but I’d consider myself in the upper percentile of admitted students at Illinois (34 ACT, top 2% rank) and math is my strongest subject so I wouldn’t mind the rigorous math courseload.
