double majoring

I was looking on IU's website and it said that only one course can be "cross-listed" in both majors of a double major. what does that mean?

Because I want to major in Neuroscience (B.S.) and Chem (B.A.) while fulfilling my medical school pre-reqs. Courses such as Chem 117, 341, 342, 343, and Bio 112, and several others are required for both majors. What does the only one course can be cross-listed thing have to do with this? Can only one course count toward both majors?

That’s a good question. I would assume that the classes that are required for both majors would only need to be taken once to count for both. My thinking behind that is it would be impossible to double major if only one course could be counted for both majors.
