Hey everyone,
How feasible is it to double major in some sort of business while also majoring in engineering (chemical most likely) at Michigan. I hope to one day get my chemE degree and then going onto finance or consulting or management, so I would love to take advantage of Michigan's phenomenal business program. Thanks in advance!

this should help: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-michigan-ann-arbor/1220490-even-possible-do-college.html

thank you very much that was super helpful!

If you really want to do Consulting or Finance, do the BBA, and fulfill your interests in science via minor or dual-major. Actually if you just want do Consulting, you can get in with a regular LSA or engineering degree. MBB (the top firms) and others recruit at both.

If you have any interest in Engineering, get a job in that first. Business will still be there later.

I had a conversation with 3 Ross students. One said it was completely worthless and that the professors just say blatantly wrong things and that you don’t learn anything and that the whole “action based learning” or whatever it was is a complete lie. The other two replied with something along the lines of “That’s all true, but it’s not quite as bad as he makes it sound. It’s tolerable.”
