I know that you are allowed to double major at Georgetown, but are you able to major in two different schools?
For example, is it possible to obtain both a major in Government at Georgetown College and a major in International Politics at SFS? And if double majoring at the two different schools is allowed, is it possible to do a concentration in International Relations under the Government Major while doing the second major in SFS or would a different concentration be advisable?
Thanks for your time!
Students are not able to double major across schools, although classes in other schools may be open. You could not major in government at the college and IR at SFS.
Generally, you can minor across schools though, excluding students in SFS, or take the courses equivalent to a double major. The only cross school opportunities for SFS students are language minors from the College. I believe there may be some special programs across colleges, but your idea of a double major is not feasible.
