Double majoring?

Hey, I'm applying to the College of Human Ecology. I was just wondering about double majoring in another school.. I'm planning on majoring in Human Development within Humec but I'd also like to major in French in CAS.. maybe with a minor in music.
Is this possible without initially applying to both schools? /would this provide me with waaay too much work?
Thanks! I appreciate it!

Unless it's one of the dual-degree programs, you cannot double major across colleges at Cornell.

FYI: HumEc does not let anyone double major.

A Major isn't necessary, though: you can simply take courses in the subjects that interest you. It won't be notated on your transcript, but if you're interested in graduate school, they're looking at the courses you took and not necessarily that name of the major(s) on your transcript. With a language, you can just note on your transcript that you're fluent in ___.

there is a minor in music that is open to anybody in any college. it involves about 18 credits with various specializations (theory, performance, computer music, and maybe more)
