Double-Majors?

How hard is it to double major? I would like to do business, but I am reluctant to give up music at the same time. Bucknell also only gives larger music scholarships to music majors.

Thank you!!!

While looking for schools, I wanted to find a school that had a really strong engineering program as well as a strong music department. I chose Bucknell because of their dedication to the arts and willingness to enable their students to pursue any intellectual interests they had. That being said, I’m hoping to double major in Electrical Engineering and Music Performance next fall. I’ve been told the counseling is very open to helping students double major, especially when they are combining an artistic field with a more technical field.

However, I don’t know anything about the scholarships.

Anyone else have any input? I’m curious…

We’ll probably have to apply to the music program when we declare our double major, as well.

Hey, I’m currently a Double Major in Education (BS) and Theater (BA) and my advisors have been very helpful in balancing the requirements. It is pretty rigorous, but many students at Bucknell do choose to double (almost all of the theater majors that I know are doubling). As for scholarships, there are available Arts Merit Scholarships, which you can audition for usually in January or February. Here’s the link to the website: [Bucknell University – Arts Merit Scholarships || Bucknell University](http://www.bucknell.edu/x32061.xml)

How competitive is it to major in music? I’m probably in the top twenty in the state, but I’m nowhere as good as the state winners.
