Although I am only a senior and haven't applied to Princeton (or any other colleges) yet, I really want to major in both molecular biology and psychology. I am wondering if it is possible to have double majors, or will it be too much work for me?

You can't double major at Princeton because you have to write a massive senior thesis for your major, which would be physically impossible to do twice in the same year. However, you could major in one and minor in the other...

this is right, Princeton policy doesn't alow you to double major. good luck with your choice, anyway.

You can however major in psychology or mol bio with a certificate in neuroscience which makes many classes in both departments cognates for departmental requirements.

Wait, you can't double major at all? I thought it might be possible to double major. Say, you for reaserching similar topics though. Say French and History. You can research the French Revolution, then write about the dialects or word shifts as a result or something like that.

no. you can't double major at all.this is their policy. because of the senior thesis.

However you can create a major sometimes. Look double majoring isn't that great a thing or big of a deal. Nobody cares about double humanities majors when you graduate. So the only issue is can you take the classes you want. And many classes in different depts count towards majors in other depts. I took history classes for a comp lit major, for example.

I believe engineering majors do not need to write a senior thesis. They just have a project or something. So wouldn't it be possible to major in an engineering program and one other subject?

engineering majors do have senior thesis, they just don't have a required jp

You CAN double major. I went to the Informational session thing a couple days ago. Fact is, the admissions officer that spoke there specifically said that the amount of people that HAVE double majored at Princeton...she could count them on her left hand. It's incredibly difficult, near impossible, but not impossible. Each major requires about 12-15 classes. Double majoring is basically...doubling those classes. Which is basically asking you to have NO life and senior year would just really suck.
