Double Vs. Quad vs. Triple

I can't live in single dorm room, finance is a big one.

Which would you prefer? Double or quad (can't find any floor plans on cornell web, if you can , plz direct with a link) ?

Is triple worth the money saved?

I mean I couldn't find any floor plans or pictures of quad rooms or their floor living area etc.

double vs. quad, let the battle begin .

ah, since no one's answering, I guess I'll just go double, make life simpler.

triple is only abt 30 some square feet bigger than a double, and with only two closets. So here I suggest to future housing applicants not choosing triple unless you are really in finanical difficulty and want to save a few hundred bucks. Scrimping the money is not worth it.

thanks shawn. what about a quad?

also, do you have any suggestions for which dormitory i should pick?

couldn't find floor plans on quad ,but heard it's just like two doubles linked together. Court and mews are new and good, so if you can get them, then you're lucky.

It might be a good idea to look at the Program houses (<a href="http://dining.cornell.edu/housing_residential/program_houses.asp%5B/url%5D">http://dining.cornell.edu/housing_residential/program_houses.asp</a>) available, since you can actually pick one of those on your housing form.

I think I'd really only consider JAM if you're into music / play an instrument, Ecology House if you want to have a pet, or McLLU if you're culturally inclined, like me. But don't let this influence your choices, use the info on the site.

Otherwise, you can't choose your dorm (unless you're a girl and want a girl-only dorm, Balch Hall, which is supposed to have very nice rooms), and you'll just have to cross your fingers and hope for Mews or Court with the rest of us. :)
