Doubling up on how to "count" a 3000 level GE class?

This was hard to make out from reading degree requirements. If taking a GE class to satisfy an N requirement and it happens to be 3000 level, can it also count as a “3000 level elective not in major” for upper class degree requirements?

Thanks for any info.

Maybe I should include the other part of the N class isn’t needed for GE, ie H or S or B, has met those for GE. All international classes are paired up with a GE H/S/B for double counting there.

I would say, yes, a 3000 level class, that’s required for a major, can be used to meet GE requirements. Even though the “other part” of the class isn’t needed, the N can still count.

Of course, I would recommend checking with an academic advisor… :-bd

Thanks! I feel like asking them makes me seem like a micromanaging parent. :)]

Ha! Let the kiddo ask the questions!
