I was reading the Decisions threads for the past few years, and noticed that quite a few applicants had sent in more than one supplementary essays.

The CommonApp allows applicants to upload only one file, so if I want to upload more than one supplementary essay, do I put those one after the other in the single Word file I'll be uploading on CommonApp where it asks for optional supplementary essays, or do I do this in another way?

Are you sure that they don’t mean more than one essay for the Harvard supplement ? I’m not a current applicant so I’m not sure about the Common App submission format, but perhaps you can attach one additional essay to the common app additional information section, if there is still a section called that, and another supplement essay to the Harvard suppplement…?

Also, understand that adcom only spends a limited amount of time reading each application, so additional supplement essays may end up taking away from the time the person has for reviewing others parts of your application.

Well harvards supplement is “optional” (mandatory), so just submit one.
