Which would you rather live in, and why?

In other words, which Rez is traditionally more fun? Which one is more practical? How are New Rez rooms (especially singles)? Could anyone who has stayed in either please tell me their experiences?

I lived in New Rez and enjoyed it much... when I was deciding between residences it was between New Rez and Douglas for me too... I was a scholarship winner so I knew I'd get whichever one I chose. I ended up visiting before hand and got a feel for both. I picked New Rez because of the amazing amenities the rez offers (A/C, huge selection of high quality food, long hours of cafeteria operations, ultra secure, etc.)... Douglas however has a much better community I think, and people there seem to be a bit more diverse and creative overall.

yea.. if i chose again id maybe choose douglas.... new rez is good for all of the luxuries as rideltrain mentioned.. but community lacking.. in new rez each floor has like 50-60 kids and its hard to get to know everyone/hang out.. but the luxuries counteract it strongly.. so its what you find more important

if i had to choose again, i'd still stick with new rez!!! i had the best year of my life last year! basically all rezs party hard 1st year...cept RVC...actually i donno jk! for the extra $100 you pay per month to stay at new rez, it's DEFINITELY worth it!!! we had council orientation at RVC one weekend, which has the same food as upper rez, and food was provided for us in the RVC cafeteria and it tastes so bad that our entire council left and went to tim horton's to buy our own food.

The Upper Residences last year seemed to be full of artsy, creative types, especially Douglas. New Rez. Well, it's New Rez.

ya...we're not artsy at all....
