Well, time is beginning to run scarce in making my college decision. Please give your opinion!

I am planning to major in Materials Engineering, and have narrowed down my potential colleges to Purdue University and Case Western Reserve University. The scholarships from each bring them to within $5,000 of each other, making finances a non-factor in the final decision.

Any advice or opinion is appreciated! Thanks.

Have you visited both of them? Which campus do you like better? I’d say the two colleges are pretty comparable to each other.

I don’t know how much it matters to you, but Purdue is ranked several places higher in materials engineering. The rank is of course, for the graduate program, but it should be somewhat of a indicator of the strength of the undergrad program. I don’t know whether you’re looking at grad school afterward either, so that could be a factor.

These are both great engineering schools, so you will have to base your decision on other factors, such as location, campus, distance from home, etc.
