This summer: I have a part time job and will be teaching people of all ages how to read (literacy tutor)

There's no way you are Mational Merit Commended let alone semi-finalist with that math test score.

i live in the state with the lowest cuttoff ever. last year it was 204...

630M is quite low for Emory standards, and even more so as your applying RD.

Ok well i'm definitely not retaking. brought that up from a 590 and that's as high as it goes. ACT math is higher i think?

From Emory's own materials:

25 - 75% of admitted students had:

660-740 Math
640 - 720 CR
640-730 WR
29-33 ACT
3.8 ave GPA

For Emory at Oxford:
550-670 Math
550-670 CR
540-650 WR
23-28 ACT
3.5 GPA

Competitive SAT for Emory Scholars Competition:
Emory - over 2100, GPA 3.9

Emory at Oxford - over 2000, 3.85 GPA
