<p>She made the decisions, above , IIRC, during Bellingrath week-end (told me when she got home) but before the Bellingrath was awarded, when the $ were roughly equivalent between the schools mentioned. They were all fine schools , she just preferred Rhodes at even money.</p>

<p>IIRC, she had the Trustees at Case, Schambach at Hamilton, James E. Scripps at Scripps, and …uhhhh…I can’t remember at Centre (but about the same $). Both Scripps and Hamilton came with extra bene’s on top of the merit award.</p>

<p>She had excellent choices from an excellent list.</p>

<p>@ Curmedgeon… I had a question about financial aid… Someone told me that as an international student we HAVE to pay at least $20k per year…!!! Is that true cuz my mother will retire next year and I’ll have to cut back my contribution from 20k to 10k :frowning: …How likely is it that I’ll be able to get more financial aid next year.???</p>

<p>krakenjack, that is a question I’ll have to answer with “I have no idea”. I have never seen such a statement on the website but that doesn’t mean much. Email FA for an answer, or better yet, go see them when you get on campus. I’m a real fan of face-to-face communication.</p>

<p>Financial aid didn’t give me enough to where I could afford it. My parents and I would have to taken out massive amounts of loans.</p>

<p>This is what got me with Rhodes. They considered a Stafford loan as part of my scholarship award. That’s just ridiculous.</p>

<p>Going to UT in Austin.</p>

<p>I got $60k in scholarships over the course of 4 years. The rest they expected me to come in with either Stafford loans or Parent Plus loans.</p>

<p>My parents do well, but not to the point that they can boot Rhodes, seeing as how my sister is right behind me. I just thought they would come in with more, because Southwestern sure did.</p>
