Downloaded but not received??

So my common app says that all the school forms (reports and recs inclusive) have been downloaded by NYU. However, on my NYU Albert (the thing to check the status of my application) it says that they have not yet received my transcript... Should I be worried? I applied ED on the 17th of October!

Omg same here. I applied on the 29th and sent my official transcript, letters of rec, and portfolio through the mail and it says my application is downloaded but i got no code or anything for the financial aid!! I’m getting a little worried. I’m going to give them a call if i don’t hear anything within the next couple of days…

AudreyH, what is this NYU Albert thing? I’ve never heard of it…

More specifically, how did you gain access to it? Simply by applying?

grigg02 - I’m sure everything is fine but definitely call if you don’t hear anything by the 6th of Nov.

whodatninja - NYU Albert is NYU’s portal for applicants to check the status of their application and to see if any materials are missing. Yes, once you submit your application and they download your commonapp, then will send you an e-mail with your NetID so that you can access your NYU Albert. If yours hasn’t come yet, don’t stress, mine took two weeks to come so yours will come in due time :)

I just checked - they received my transcript! Yay! Now it’s all in their hands. Good luck to both of you. :)

Albert is our portal as NYU students for all things administrative: financial aid, bursar’s, registration, academic status and records, medical and personal records, etc. Albert is notoriously slow for any and everything. For us as current students, it shows a “Last Updated on:” date so we know how accurate the information is. It’s not unusual to see it 8-10 days behind, but 5 business days is common. I don’t know if as applicants you can see that delay like we can, but just know that Albert is a very finnicky creature who sorely needs to be replaced. =)

Audrey, how did you check that they received your transcript? On mine it says they haven’t. Does it update in time or did you contact them?

Hey everyone, I sent by post my common app to NYU on last Thursday. But i havent received any email confirming that they have recieved it yet.

Ignite7 - I checked my application status and the check box next to High School Transcript was ticked. I checked this morning; didn’t have to call. I’m sure yours will pop up by tomorrow  Like hellodocks said, the Albert thing is a little show to update.

TAHUNGANH - I think because you posted yours, it may take longer. Wait a couple of more days, but if you still haven’t heard from them by next week Thursday, definitely call and check up on them.

Hi i called the admission officer and said that they got my app already, they send me an email and there is the link
http://home.nyu.edu/academics

I try to login with my NetID and then there is the error of No roles defined. Does it mean that is the account when i got accepted into NYU?
I sent my apps by post btw.

No, you don’t have to be accepted to have a NetID; I got mine early this week and I am just an applicant.
You definitely must call them to see what’s up because it shouldn’t be giving you an error.

Thanks for letting me know Audrey, hopefully it will soon!

I emailed them, but they just keep shoving wierd answers? how come i got the no roles defined error? i should be an applicant rite?

Yes TAHUNGANH, you are an applicant - I don’t see why you should not be given an ID to check online despite sending your application by post. Definitely call them :)
