Downloading Doc Problem

<p>I'm trying to download a document into the "Additional Info" section and it refuses my document stating that the doc must have .doc or some other designations after its name. Does anyone know how I can convert my regular document into a (name).doc document?</p>

<p>More specifically, the instructions are: "the file should be in .docx, .wpd. .xls. xlsx or pdf. or .txt format.</p>

<p>This is gobbledy-gook to me. Does anyone have a suggestion?</p>

<p>I’d really like to be able to download my italics.</p>
