Downward and Upward trend?

Hello,

Throughout High School, i had a downward trend in unweighted GPA:
Freshman: 3.92 GPA Sophomore: 3.66 GPA Junior: 3.48 GPA

But I also had an upward trend in Weighted GPA
Freshman: 4.13 GPA Sophomore: 4.16 GPA Junior: 4.48 GPA

My overall GPA right now is a 3.72 uw, 4.21 weighted. My class rank is 29/721 (Top 4%)

Also, for my senior year, I am taking all Weighted Classes ( APs and classes at George Mason University), and I have an increasing chance of getting a 4.0/5.0 Senior Year. First, How much will this Downward trend reflect on me? Also, if i am able to get a 4.0/5.0 now, Would this be positively reflected on?

My overall Question is: How would a downward trend from freshman to junior, but a big upward from junior to senior gpa be seen. Dartmouth is my dream school, so i hope someone can respond.

Downward is never good because it basically shows that as classes got harder the grades started to suffer. However, downward followed by upward would be great especially since you say you are taking all APs and college classes. The only senior grades they’ll see is your first semester grades. You basically have a month to get all A’s. You can do it!
