Downward trend for midyear report?

Throughout high school, I've been getting all A's and one A- per year. However, second semester senior year I got mostly A-'s and one B+. I am taking all AP and honors classes, and I'm taking one more AP than I did last year. Since I only averaged a decrease of one letter grade, would this be perceived as a downward trend on my midyear report and diminish my chances of acceptance? Or is it within the range of acceptable grade fluctuation? I applied to top schools, such as some Ivies, Tufts University, and Amherst (I did apply to safeties too). Thanks so much!

I don’t really think it would be and I’m assuming your senior year is harder since you’re taking one more AP than last year. I don’t think it matters is you get one B (for a marking period), and I know the colleges I was interested in looked at patterns of B’s. Just make sure you overall GPA doesn’t go down to much! Good luck :)
