so freshman year i got straight As, and sophomore year i got one A-. Then junior year i got two A-s and one B+, everything else still A's.
My question is whether that is enough to qualify as a downward trend in my grades. the B+, by the way, was in an after school introduction to russian seminar that unfortunately had its largest quiz during the week of the musical production (which at my school is a big thing with practices directly after school and then again in the evening with a break for dinner). it was only for a fourth of a credit, so it doesnt really have much of an impact on my gpa, which is a healthy 3.9 or so unweighted.
but anyways i digress. will colleges see that as a downward trend?

I think it would have to be a lot worse to be considered a downward trend. I think you’re fine.

ok. thats what i was hoping, just a little nervous

Don’t worry about it politicfish. You might be concerned if your grades went to all B’s junior year…that’s a downward trend for sure…but that’s certainly not the case for you. Especially if the rigor of your courses went up, colleges cut you a bit of slack, and they wouldn’t call that a downward trend.

I think you are fine also. Best of luck!
