baxia!~ pennsylvanians...

Does anyone know the number of wharton students that applied ED?

if impboy is right (which seems fairly accurate) then the people applying to the College have a pretty good chance.
From Penn's website updated Jan 1 2006: "The College is the largest of the undergraduate schools, enrolling 6,000 of the University's 10,000 undergraduates, and it teaches all of Penn's undergraduates."

Since their are four years, 6000/4 = 1500 admitted each year (ED+Reg) .....
ED would be about 750 since they admit half the class ED
So, 750/2300 = 33% chance !!!
pretty nice

wharton people are so screwed.... damn it. Why did so many people apply????? =(

You have to remember that those numbers are totally random guesses; stetson said they expect to take 20-30 percent overall; I doubt wharton students would be at that big a disadvantage over CAS applicants, I don't think 33% from CAS will be admitted

33% actually sounds pretty accurate.

Figure, the acceptance rate will be slightly higher than last year (29%). So... about 30/31% because of the decrease in applicants.

CAS's acceptance rate is usually right near the overall rate, because Wharton brings the % down, and SEAS and Nursing bring it up.

Then since the CAS ED applicant pool went down this year, it would probably be slightly higher than the overall rate of 30/31... So 33, I think it is pretty accurate... I'd say within 1-2%. Obviously this is speculative and obtained kind of sketchily, but hey, we're prospective Penn students, we're smart!
