<p>Dr. Andrew Viterbi, Ph.D USC, was given another presitigious accolade. He was named a 2008 Millennium Technology Laureate. He traveled to Finland to receive the award. Viterbi received the Medal of Science for 2007, presented by President Bush.
Co-founder of Qualcomm and publisher of the Viterbi Algorithm, Dr. Viterbi is considered by many to be a technology genius. He is the recipient of many other awards and honors. Dr. Viterbi is serving on the USC Board of Trustees.</p>
<p>I found out he went to MIT for undergraduate but he donated a lot of money to USC. I wonder if he did the same to MIT.</p>
<p>He did B.S. and M.S. at MIT and his Ph.D. at USC. I guess he had his 'breakthrough' at USC. ;)</p>
