In a few days I will purchase either Dr. Chung's or the PWN to accompany my preparation for the October SAT. My math score is currently a 620. Does anyone have a preference for either of these books? Also, how much did you improve after using the book?

The answer should be pretty easy. Considering how poor a choice the book really is, there are few choices that are worse than Chung’s Junk. The tests are utterly worthless and the tips range from irrelevant to badly written. The author of PWN actually knows and understands how the SAT works. If you are determined to read Chung, check Amazon and play with the tool to read the various tips. Still pretty wasteful, but at least you won’t waste your money.

I have not read either of these books, but from my experience on this forum I know that the author of PWN is very knowledgeable when it comes to the SAT.

Thank you for the reply Xiggi. I will go ahead and order PWN then. Reading the reviews and the format of the book, it seems superb. The lessons are accompanied with ACTUAL questions from the college board. Thanks for the recommendation!

Dr Steve, I agree he seems to be the most knowledgeable on the SAT and it shows on his product reviews.

^^ The “most” in the above might be a tad hyperbolic. Dr Steve is absolutely correct in his view on the contributions of PWNtheSat in this forum, but I believe that other contributors such as DrSteve himself, FigNewton, PCKeller, or GCF101, etc, have demonstrated their interest and ability to help countless students here, and elsewhere. Check their posts, and books!
