For anyone interested in a scholarship that requires a little bit more hands-on involvement than the typical essay prompt, look no further! Dr. Pepper’s annual tuition giveaway went live earlier today, and it’s the perfect opportunity to have a little fun and earn a ton of money. All you have to do is make a creative 1-minute video explaining why you deserve the money.
Actually, that’s not entirely true. First, you have to come up with a goal (your dream career, for instance) and an explanation for that goal (why do you want to go into that field? how will you be different from the rest of the pack) in under 350 characters. Then, take to social media to get 50 friends and family members to support your goal. When that’s done, you’ll be prompted to upload your video. Finalists for the $100,000 competition are selected based on the quality of the video as determined by the company, but the 5 competitors with the most friends and family supporting them each month will win an additional $1,000 scholarship.
