I’m going to be a freshman this autumn and I’m living in drackett tower. I was wondering if anyone knows if there’s a rule against mounting a plasma TV on the wall and if not, if anyone knows the best way to do so.

I don’t know if there’s a specific rule against it. My DD lived in Taylor Tower for two years (moving to Jones this year) and I believe Drackett is very similar to Taylor as far as layout and construction. The rooms have hard walls (cinder block or that sort of thing) that you would probably have to drill into to mount a TV to the wall, and it seems unlikely OSU would approve that sort of thing. You will also likely get charged for damaging the walls when you check out at the end of the school year. In short, I would advise against even thinking about mounting a TV on the wall.

If you’re in Drackett, I’m guessing you’re in a quad, and with four desks in that small study room (at least two are built-in desks with built-in shelves above them), you’re not going to have a lot of wall space for a TV.

You’re almost certainly not the first person to want to do this, and I’m sure that some kids probably have mounted their TV on the wall. I’m just not sure it’s worth the time, effort and possible extra expense at the end of the school year to do it.
