Drafting my own rec

Please help!

I asked my professor if its okay to draft my own recommendation letter for her. She said it's fine and she is happy to use it.

Is that a good thing for me ? Can I write brilliant things about myself ?
Please help me!

This is more of an opportunity to provide her with the information that she needs to write a solid LOR for you than it is for you to say “brilliant things” about yourself. Some of the items that you want to include in your draft are:
Classes you have taken with her.
Final grades in those classes.
Topics of any papers or special projects for those classes
Your goals for yourself at the institution that you are applying to, and why you believe that place and your major there are good fits for you

Good luck to both of you!

Thanks! If my Professor says I can send it off myself, that means she is willing to let me see it. Do you think that means its better for me or will she write mediocre things?
