For those that are already headed to the hill next fall and those that are still trying to decide (or waiting to hear), Dragon Day is not to be missed.

It is a great example of the raucous spirit that pervades Cornell.

Wharf

PS - Perro - were you there? Can you give us some on the ground reporting?

Dragon day was...wierd; a bunch of drunk architects in silly costumes dancing down the street. The Engineers didn't even build a real phoenix; its was just the skelton of one. I wasn't nearly as "live" as it has been in past yrs. The dean of AAP wants to slowly phase it out so he put it on Friday (instead of Thursday as is tradition) when most of the students would be gone for break.

Yeah I was there. It was great; my first time seeing Dragon Day in person, so it was truly a unique experience. Beautiful day out yesterday with no clouds and temperatures in the 40's. The crowd was probably about 3000-5000 I'd estimate. Upperclassmen said this year's dragon was the best they had seen yet, and it burned very nicely. True, it was kinda weird, but still entertaining. All in all a good show that everyone should turn out for at some point in their cornell careers. My only complaint is that the engineers were too lazy to make a phoenix.

Also, while I didnt have a camera with me, some of my friends did, so soon i might be able to link you to some pics.
