Hi guys, I am considering reapplying to several boarding schools next year as a repeat tenth grader to increase my odds of acceptance.
What are the drawbacks to this in the long term? WIll it look bad on college boards? Etc.

Many BS applicants choose to repeat 10th grade because of many reasons. The main reason would be that more spots are open to 10th grade applicants than to 11th grade applicants. Personally I would recommend repeating 10th grade unless you have excellent grades and you are 100% sure that you will be able to generate the same result at BS. I don’t think it will look bad on your college application if you get into good BS.
