<p>You will get taught to draw. And it is a lot easier on engineering paper as you can use the grid to help you out with symmetry. Most sketches are rough anyways, then you mock that in a CAD software to make it look professional.</p>
<p>Artistic drawing and technical drawing are very different. In engineering, the most important part of drawing is to be able to visualize things.</p>
