drawing

2.0 gpa and 28 act. ARe there any schools i could gety into for drawing?

There is no program in “drawing” per se that I know about. They do have illustration, which might be what you are looking for.

With that in mind, many art schools have no academic standards for admission (especially for illustration majors), although they do have portfolio requirements. Thus, if you have a decent portfolio, you can get in. Examples might be AAU, SCAD, Rocky Mountain Colleve of Art, Maine College of Art etc. In fact, many of the smaller art schools don’t have stringent admission standards.

Other choices would be an atlier such as the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and other Atliers. Do a search for Atliers.

Personally, I think you would be better served attending a community college and getting your general education requirements out of the way, which would be much cheaper than taking those at an expensive art school, and then transfer.

By the way, just out of curiousity, how could you be capable of gettng a 28 on the ACT and have only a 2.0 GPA? Did you do nothing in high school? If that is the case, you will have the same problem in college unless you improve your work ethic. At least for Atliers, you won’t have any gen ed requirements, but you won’t get a college degree either.
